Crazy Rick's 10 day No Hassle Livestock Guarantee

We've taken great care to produce the healthiest corals possible, and only ship specimens in prime condition.  We also utilize the best shipping materials to ensure the safest journey possible.  That being said, on a very infrequent basis, in the event of a problem, we offer our 10 day guarantee on every order.   

In the unfortunate event that you have a problem with one of your new specimens, notify us within 24 hours with an e-mail including a clear digital picture of the lost specimen.  If a new specimen shows signs of stress, feel free to e-mail us.  We regularly offer advice to our customers in the store free of charge.  We're happy to extend this service online.  We will do everything we can to diagnose the problem with you and find a solution before a life is lost.  If however, the specimen is lost within the 10 day period, we will then provide a credit that can be used on a future order. 

Terms and Conditions

  • The credit will be for the exact total of the lost livestock and will be applied to a future order. 
  • Credit is limited to the livestock lost that came with the order.  Shipping costs and loss of preexisting livestock in the aquarium are not subject to a credit.
  • We apologize that we cannot issue credit card refunds.
  • The clear digital picture of the deceased is required for the credit.
  • E-mail notification with picture is required before 10 days has passed since the arrival of the shipment.
  • Corals that are placed into hostile conditions such as aquariums that are not fully cycled, where the water flow/lighting needs of the corals are ignored will not be guaranteed.
  • Shipments via UPS Ground bear no guarantee of live arrival.

Special note to beginning hobbyists:  Buy responsibly!

As a new hobbyist, nothing is more frustrating than losing a recently acquired coral/fish.  We're here to help.  We've taken great care to propagate these corals in our store so we're pretty attached to their future with you!  We conduct diligent inspections as well as best shipping practices to make sure the corals arrive to your door in the best condition.  Our goal is your success, and we understand that the reef hobby can take some time to master.   At the same time, it saddens us when these carefully cultivated corals are placed into hostile environments such aquariums that were recently set up and have not cycled, have poor water chemistry, or erratic temperature fluctuations.  For this reason, our guarantee requires that the corals be placed in fully cycled tanks with accepted normal water parameters, with consideration to the light and water flow requirements for each species.  If you have any questions about the conditions that the corals have been grown in prior to shipping, feel free to e-mail or call us.  We'd also be happy to offer advice, and also suggest some corals etc that would best fit your aquarium and current skill level.  Feel free to ask for a tour of the ‘bulletproof' stuff!  We would much rather prevent a problem and create a successful situation than simply make a sale.
